1957 - Anthony Totaro & Dick Wegman open Hammond Organ Studios of Boston in Newton, MA.
1958 - Boston Red Sox / Boston Bruins / Boston Celtics organist John Kiley
joins the staff (remains on the staff until he retires in the 1980’s).
Hammond Organ Studios of Boston opens Reading, MA location
(many locations including Boston and Sandwich open during following years).
1961 - Store Opening! Paul Yetman joins the sales staff full time.
1963 - Our mighty fleet of service vehicles.
1965 - Hammond Organ Studios of Boston is largest volume
Hammond Organ Studios dealer (out of about 100) in the USA.
1967 - Ray Totaro (the present President) starts working part time
in the refinishing and delivery departments after school.
1968 - Bancroft joins the sales staff full time. Ruth Weaver joins the sales staff full time.
1969 - Bosendorfer pianos are added to the product line. Yamaha pianos & organs are added to the product line.
1970 - Company name changed to Boston Organ & Piano. Boston Organ & Piano’s main showroom moved from Newton to larger location in Natick. George Burke joins the piano service staff full time.
1972 - Ray Totaro & Dick Wegman
1974 - Ray Totaro joins the sales staff full time.
1975 - John Totaro starts working part time in the delivery department. Anthony Totaro purchases Rt. 9 Natick property.
1976 - Artie Doran (present Piano Service Manager) starts working part time as a piano tuner after school.
1978 - Richard Giglio joins the staff as an organ instructor. Artie Doran joins the piano service staff full time.
1983 - Richard Giglio leaves to be a Concert Artist for Yamaha.
1984 - Garry Millard joins the sales staff full time.
1985 - Co-owner Dick Wegman retires.
1986 - John Totaro joins the sales staff full time. Schimmel pianos are added to the product line.
1987 - European Piano School at Boston Organ & Piano opens. Richard Giglio returns to a full time position as Director of Church & Institutional Sales.
1991 - Gerald Teplitzky (present Vice President of Sales) joins the sales staff full time.
1995 - Boston Red Sox hire Richard Giglio & Ray Totaro as staff organists.
They were Red Sox staff organists from 1995 through 2002. Anthony Totaro is awarded the first ever Yamaha Founders Award for his outstanding lifelong contribution to the piano industry.
1997 - John, Ray, & Anthony Totaro are the featured cover story in Musical
Merchandise Review magazine, "Boston Organ & Piano 40 Years Young".
1998 - Anthony Totaro & Nikolaus Schimmel in Braunschweig, Germany.
Boston Organ & Piano is the largest volume Schimmel piano dealer in the world.
2001 - Boston Organ & Piano for the second time is the largest volume Schimmel piano dealer in the world.
2002 - Paul Yetman retires from Yamaha and returns to Boston Organ & Piano full time. Boston Organ & Piano named: #1 Worldwide Dealer of Schimmel Pianos and #1 USA Dealer of Kemble Pianos
2003 - Boston Organ & Piano opens their fourth location in Eastern Massachusetts,
a 10,000 square foot superstore in Peabody's North Shore Mall. Boston Organ & Piano is the #1 Schimmel dealer in the world once again!! Boston Organ & Piano is the #1 Kemble dealer in America.
